映画館えいがかんのめがね

金曜日きんようびの夜よる、私わたしはマリアさんと映画館えいがかんへ行いきました。
もうすぐ映画えいがの時間じかんでしたが、めがねがありませんでした。
かばんの中なかをよく見みましたが、ありませんでした。
うちの机つくえに忘わすれたと思おもいました。
マリアさんは私わたしを見みて、「めがねは頭あたまの上うえですよ」と言いいました。
私わたしは顔かおが赤あかくなって、「あ、ありました」と言いいました。

Grammar / Notes

• 〜と思おもいます (I think) 〜と思おもいます expresses an opinion or belief. The clause before と takes the plain form. In the affirmative non-past, nouns and na-adjectives normally take だ before と思おもいます. うちの机つくえに忘わすれたと思おもいました。(“I thought I had forgotten them on my desk at home.”)

On Friday night, I went to the movie theater with Maria.
