チョコレートの卵たまご

今日きょうの晩ばんごはんはすき焼やきです。
でも、冷蔵庫れいぞうこに卵たまごがありません。
すき焼やきには卵たまごがほしいです。
弟おとうとに「卵たまごを買かって」と言いいました。
弟おとうとはコンビニで、好すきなチョコレートの卵たまごを買かいました。
本当ほんとうの卵たまごはありませんでしたが、とても面白おもしろい晩ばんごはんになりました。

• 〜がほしいです (want a thing) Noun + がほしいです says that the speaker wants a thing. The thing wanted takes が, not を. すき焼やきには卵たまごがほしいです。(“I want eggs for the sukiyaki.”)
• 〜と言いいます (say that) 〜と言いいます reports what someone says, and と marks the reported content. An indirectly reported clause normally takes the plain form. A direct quotation in 「」 keeps the speaker’s original wording. 弟おとうとに「卵たまごを買かって」と言いいました。(“I said to my younger brother, ‘Buy some eggs.’”)
